My Oldie for FFrriday

Morning All
Another week has gone! So we're creeping towards Christmas at an alarming rate now. So I thought I'd show an "old" Christmas card inspired by Erika at Snappycrafts She invites you to share an old project. Why not take part and show-off an oldie too.
A very simple card using a very old technique, a couple of die cuts and a bit of ribbon! You may see the technique I used for the background which is to lay some ink - I used Cosmic Shimmer Spray Misters in a fairly large plastic box. Add some water and washing-up liquid. Using a straw blow into the solution to create bubbles. gently lay some card over the top. Rub over very gently and lift. If you "dunk" the card too much, you end up with a saturated piece of messy card! This card is at least two years old and I wonder with all of the new products that are on the market now like CS Pixie Powders would give beautiful effects....t he mica may "disappear" in the washing up liquid.I will have another "play"
Enjoy your week end. We went dancing last night, so may have a quiet night in tonight and enjoy Strictly with knitting in hand! Thank you for visiting
Ingredients
6x4 deckle edge card blank
background as above
Memory Box Bauble dies
Britannia Sentiment dies
Ribbon from my stash

  1. I love your oldie Karen. That background looks lovely. The bubbles have made it look like baubles in the background. I've never tried this technique. Thanks for explaining how you did it.

I'm sure you enjoyed your evening dancing. We'll also be watching Strictly tonight. Barbxx

  4. Hi Karen
Love the background and it sounds an interesting technique. The messiest I get with crafting tends to be the shaving foam thingy lol!
Smashing card and hope you have a lovely weekend.
