My oldie for Fffriday

Hello Everyone
If any of you visited on Thursday I am sorry I didn't post anything. I was having huge problems with internet access
Today's oldie is not one of my projects but an "old" genuine Banksy which I saw on the walking tour of street art I did last Saturday in Shoreditch. It was absolutely brilliant. Our guide Daphne was superb. I cannot praise her enough. It lasted four hours - some mid week ones are only two hours long. See Erika blog for details on showing off your oldies

I took hundreds of photos. Here are a few more. Most Street Art is illegal, so it was really beneficial to hear the struggles they went to do do some of their pieces. The No Entry sign is tape. If the council don't like it they can just peel it off. The same with the chewing gum. A few of the "famous artists are now commissioned to do pieces

A piece of altered chewing gum.
I am going to take a break from blogging now. So I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a healthy, prosperous 2017 and see you then

My oldie for FFFriday

Hello Everyone

Thank you again for your lovely comments. Gary truly was outstanding in every way. I hope your week end will be a good one. I have a very busy one. Today I am going into London to the Street Art Walking Tour with a couple of friends. I'm really looking forward to it, we always have a good laugh when we meet up. Tonight I am going dancing with OH,, daughter and future son-in-law and tomorrow afternoon we're all going dancing again including Oscar!

So,Saturday is my day to show an oldie as inspired by Erika at Snappycrafts. It is your chance to show an old project whether blogged or not. Sometimes it's good to have a giggle at our first "makes" Or be proud of an achievement.
My card is probably one of the first ones I made when I bought Spellbinders Les Papillion die set. I have friends that like this style of card. I have made several versions of this card and have never made the same one twice. I usually have a couple of them in my stash for emergencies. It was inspired by Sue Wilson at particraft. It is quite an economical card to make as the butterflies are cut to leave the "negative" and can be done with scraps

Hee hee! The first photo shows I was probably in a rush to give it to somebody and quickly took a photo. It looks like I was looking for fancy dress ideas too!

Ingredients
6x6 card blank
Serif background and one created with That Special Touch mask on Core'dination card (is that still made?
Spellbinders - Les Papillion die

My take on an alcohol ink technique

Dear All
Thank you for your lovely comments on Saturday. It was a hard day BUT although we shed some tears, we also shared some happy times we'd had with Gary. Saturday was the day Santa arrived at the zoo which made us smile seeing all of the excited children waiting to greet him and have a "special" ride in his carriage. We bumped into a friend of ours, whose son loves visiting the zoo, especially "Simba"! It reminded us of when Gary used to bring a reindeer to our local town centre for the children to stroke and have their pictures taken with the reindeer. We smiled because Gary enjoyed doing this - his favourite bit was the lovely lunch and being fussed over by the volunteers of a local charity shop that looked after them. He took his job very seriously and ensured each child got the chance to "pet" the reindeer. One of many happy times.

Today's card I made for a friend and it is a real cheat on a technique I have seen on Sue Wilson's blog here
My version was made using the same die for the focal part BUT I created my "alcohol background" in Serif and printed it on glossy photographic paper.

Hope the rest of the week is kind to you all. I have today and tomorrow off work to make my Christmas cards and a gift of a clock from Indigo Blue. I needed the discipline of setting aside a couple of days to do only this - other jobs and cards will have to wait! I do have Craft Club later where we'll chat and laugh and I'll take along some knitting.
